Tootsie's hosts book-signing party for LYBF

At a party hosted by Tootsie's benefiting The American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women," LYBF co-founders Bethany Hughes and Vince Grbic held a book-signing event in April.

The book offers a simple, positive philosophy on losing weight, staying fit and feeling great, all in an easy-to-read format. In addition to Bethany's insights on her personal struggle with weight loss and fitness, the book includes explanations and photos of exercises and routines to help you get started. It also offers chapters on topics such as good food choices (called, "Why We Hate Diets"), stretching and warming up, the Basic 8 exercises, as well as a chapter devoted to cardio exercises. Most importantly, the book is filled with optimism and encouragement, and is devoted to making weight loss and fitness a realistic and fun life choice.

Vince leads another 'Healthy Walk & Talk' at Rice Epicurean

LYBF co-founder Vince Grbic gave another talk on how to shop for healthy foods at the Rice Epicurean Market. After a brief introduction and snacks, Vince and the group walked the store to help participants understand how to decipher confusing labels and how to pick healthy, nutritious foods. Boot camper Susan Garwood won the doorprize: A basket of some great, healthy foods. Watch the home page for the next talk coming in late March.

"I loved the delicious samples Vince enlightened us about what we eat and how it affects our body (hidden ingredients/creative labeling). I for one didn't realize that sugar was lurking in high quantities in the foods that are being advertised as healthy choices ... foods that I have been happily eating and thinking I was being good. LYBF co-founder and lead trainer Vince Grbic (at left) educates boot campers on how to "shop healthy" at the Rice Epicurean Market. The discussion included a tour of the grocery store to help attendees understand how to decipher confusing labels and how to pick healthy, nutritious food choices. After the Healthy Walk & Talk, the group headed for a healthy dinner at Arcodoro. And, when the kids go back to school in the fall, join us for the next Healthy Walk & Talk. LYBF hosts boot camp class at Lululemon

Love Your Body Fitness hosted a boot camp class on site at Lululemon Athletica’s Highland Village store. The class was held both indoors and outdoors, and although it was a gray day, the rain held off! The participants ran horses and used both medicine balls and resistance bands. Deutsch & Deutsch party

October 24, 2007
Robin and Lance Deutsch hosted a party to honor past and present boot campers. Robin, a bootcamper herself, wanted to show her appreciation to her friends at LYBF. A representative from Cartier spoke and a watch was given away that night to LYBF boot camper Candace Dickerson. More than 125 people attended the event, catered by Tony's.
